July '02 - Re-Released Church Albums & New Noctorum Album
Hello at last, back from the dead with some juicy info and tall stories from the baking streets of New York city in the summer of 2002.The other day it was 100 degrees. I lay there like a bag of wet cement sweating if I blinked. It was terrible so I built myself an igloo in Central Park and lay inside like a rag for 2 days,waiting. Eventually the sweet clouds re appeared and hid the sun with a grey mist and I could jump up and be alive again. So here I am with news.
Re-Releasing Four early Church albums
First of all July 8th EMI Records in Australia are re releasing Four early
Church albums. They will all be double CD's with the B sides of the singles
and the videos. As a bonus on The Blurred Crusade there will be featured
the continuation of the Almost With You video which is a short film backed
by the music of You Took. It always amused us greatly ,especially where
the part where the poor knight can't find his horse. On the first album
the 5 track Too Fast For You EP will be included. This is the last of
the early 80's EP's to be released,in the wake of the recent Remote Luxury/Persia/Sing
Songs release. This of course begs the question, what about A Different
Man and Constant In Opal videos?? Have to keep you posted on that one
because at this stage I have no idea.

Noctorum
Although we haven't finalised a date for release yet the Noctorum album
Sparks Lane is in the latter stages of being mixed at Dare's VIP Lounge
studio in Penzance,Cornwall. It will include 10 tracks in no particular
order. Here they are:

It's an eclectic bunch of songs which are written by both Dare and myself I wrote the lyrics and sing all but one which Dare sings. We both play guitar and bass .He also plays keys and operated the the big and small machines, mixed it and did a lot of hard work being the producer and getting lots of his arty friends to play all kinds of strange instruments that we aren't that good at like cello, recorder and proper drums. We thought it would be rather nice to collaborate on an album together from the beginning. I have usually written the songs and Dare has been the glue and polish but we thought on this one we would call it something and start from scratch.
As the summer progresses there are going to be a lot of new and interesting things happening. I will be keeping you posted on a regular basis from now on.
